I love the whole series. Is that low purple flowering shrub periwinkle? Thanks!

Hi profdgt, that is actually a low growing perennial called Nepeta or Cat Mint. It is low mounding and only about 18 - 20 inches at full height with a spread of 30 - 36 inches wide. It is also deer-resistant! Good luck with your project! Robert

We just filled an order with about 30 gallon pots of Nepeta, it's not called for too often here, but one of our new clients doing a parks job had asked for it.

Another positive for Nepeta is it has a second bloom in late August into end of Sept. if you shear it back just after the first flush starts to look "done". A negative....it doesnt smell very nice. If you like lavender, but don't have the dry conditions it like, this is a great alternative. AND you can divide this plant over and over.

Lovely garden. Do you remember what variety of Nepeta this is?

I have used “Walkers Low”. Bees love it. Great plant.
