Wood plank cathedral ceiling

A house I'm in contract on has a beautiful living room except for the "whitewashed" planks on the cathedral ceiling. The floors are solid hardwood but the walls are painted wood grain paneling. I'm thinking sheet rock walls and dark stained ceiling AFTER stripping all the white paint. Thoughts?
