Does the dishwasher placement work well for you?

Just wondering because I plan a similar setup. Thanks.

I just realized that your title was that the dishwasher was not next to the sink .. the dishwasher has a paneled front with a matching hardware handle (directly to the right of the sink).

It has not been a problem at all. I love having those little drawers there for sponges, gloves, sandwich bags, etc. I do have to be more mindful of drips though but not in an overly cumbersome way, more like an arm motion difference (ie. quick swoop).

This kitchen is beautiful. I like this separation between sink and dishwasher. It's a small distance that wouldn't make loading too difficult, but allows a nice rhythm in the cabinetry design. Apron sinks can be so lovely, but an adjacent dishwasher can often detract from it. The cover panel and the narrow drawers here are an excellent solution. Well done.

How well did the soapstone age given you left it un-oiled and lighter gray. Are you problems with spots from oils?

Is the sink made of soapstone?

The soapstone counters and sink are still blue gray thanks to Dawn detergent. They are very scrubbable, even with oil spills, and can be taken back to blue gray. The interior of the sink has darkened in a great old world way.

Love the soft grey color. Did you oil them or leave them the natural color?

What is the distance between the left side of sink (facing it) and perpendicular counter?
I guess another way to ask, what is width of drawers and cabinet frame?
    Thank you so much!
