What great possibilities! There are a number of things you can do, depending on your budget.

A few examples I've seen have the black mansard roof, with white brick base, black accents. If your roof is dark enough (hard to tell if it is chocolate colored, or natural wood shingle) you could do a liming treatment on the brick (which makes it look more "aged", rather than painted).

Working with what you have, I think I would paint the portions that are now cream or tan white instead. Paint the shutters black. Change the light fixtures beside the door to black, in a classic style and choose a version that hangs down rather than projects up. Look for two tall narrow black metal trellises and put those in front of the gutter downspouts on the right front of the house. Plant a vine, like evergreen clematis, on them. Remove the two trees on the left hand side, and instead do a complete bed of lowish-growing foundation plants. The most typical sort of planting would be boxwood hedges at the foundation on both sides of the house, with perennial and annual flowers in front on both sides. If you don't replace all, use the same shrubs on the new left bed as are on the right, with one exception. I would remove the "pointy" tall shrubs on the right hand side. Two white urn planters at the base of the front door shutters with annuals would be pretty.

To dress up the walkway, you could consider using a concrete stain in a charcoal color to make it look less like plain old cement. Another notion would be to do a stone overlay on the walk, and create a new, larger entry landing pad in front of the door. If you are keeping what appears to be a flag pole, I would use boxwood around the base, and create a flower bed in front of the boxwoods.

Around the screened in porch, I would ask a local nursery for recommendations on fragrant plantings, so you can relax on some great furniture in a scented environment!
