Hi. Thanks for the question. I have used regular Roundup on grass that has come up through moss. It killed the grass and didn't hurt the moss at all. I should say to try it on a small area first so make sure you have the same results I did. As far as other kinds of weeds in moss, I have not tried to spray them. I can only tell you to talk to knowledgeable nursery staff and do some internet research. I hope this helps you a bit. Good luck. Let me know how it turns out for you.

Hi David. Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, not all gardeners put as much time and effort into their gardens as you and I obviously do. I prefer to hand pull my weeds but I cannot speak for everyone else as, in society currently, everyone wants low maintenance and easy. That's why we have an abundance of Knock-out roses!

round up has been illegal for esthetic uses in Canada for about 10 yrs. It's permitted on food crops(I know) and golf courses but not to households.

Hi muskokatana. Since this article was written, much bad information can come out about RoundUp. I do not like using it but will use it judiciously if it's the only option, and it does work well in this application. On a related note, many folks are looking for a quick fix and don't want to spend hours upon hours pulling weeds. I personally find it relaxing if I have the time, and currently do not use products like RoundUp in my own garden.
