What is the true stain color of this floor, looking for a hardwood that has a bit of grey/brown without it being too bold, matt finish where the boards are all very similar..no yellow/orange/red.. A true brown with a hint of grey. Thank you MJ wheresmj2@aol.com

I would start with White Oak flooring and go from there. If you want a matte finish do an oiled finish. Look at these sample shots of a white oak with charcoal oiled finish. Very little shine and the wood still shows through beautifully. joel@oakandbroad.com
