We are gently (read agonizingly slowly) remodeling our basement. Drywall up and sanded. I know this will be a staged project. Not sure if I should try to get the whole finished look in my sights now knowing it would be four years before we ultimately furnished it beyond the castoffs from elsewhere in the house.
I guess what I'm asking is "What are some things I should *not* do that will be hard to undo when we have more ready cash? I know we need t o paint the walls, put in a floor. The ceiling can wait.
It is a rectangular ten by twenty space. I have a very nice entertainment armoirw tv which we moved down to make room for flat-screen in family room, a couch, and a treadmill. It will be used as kids social, exercise and maybe guest overflow.
