I love my induction range. Love it. Can't say enough good things about it, equally as responsive as gas, boils water in 90 seconds flat and a million times easier to keep clean. You'll need pots that are magnetic on the bottom though, if yours aren't already.

It has to be better than my glass top electric- the cleaning alone really ruins it for me! Because it is the reaction between the pots and the stove; is it easy to clean?

Kimdee24 - what brand range did you get?

I have the Electrolux slide-in range, with convection oven and smaller bottom oven. It's easier to clean than the electric smooth top because it doesn't get hot (or as hot) so stuff doesn't bake on to the surface.

How long have you been using it? As you can see by the above photo...my current range is in front of the windows on the right. With duel gas I have to go to the island & add a hood. I plan to remove that upper cabinet but the post is still an issue. What type of ventilation are you using? What price did you pay? Thanks
