A restoration project!!

At Oriental Treasures we believe that nothing is ever unattractive! We rescued this vintage Maltese side table from becoming firewood and restored it, 'upcycling' the table into a 'Moroccan' style, black and gold masterpiece :) Let us know what you think!

@diyher: actually in this piece I used spray paint, the one which comes in cans. I wanted the really smooth finish look so I wasnt happy with the effect I was getting with a paintbrush.

So...why can't we add the projects of everyday people to our ideabooks? Why only the "pros"? I'd love to add things like this!

@sbrustein - minute holes were first drilled into the surface, the nail heads were then dipped in wood glue and inserted into the holes. :)

Now that's labor intensive- but the end result is worth it!

Really nice. I probably would have pitched it, but you've recycled it marvelously. It is a wonder what a can of black paint can accomplish.
