Hi Frances, im having it made with DIY Australia . I just had my first measure and it should be ready in about six weeks... I hope. Its almost taken a year in trying to find similar looking products that would be practical and also having to go through council to get approval for my bigger kitchen! ! Im happy for you to email me @ lolajanethompson@yahoo.com.au
    Sarah.

Hi Lola and Frances have you had any success in completing the kitchen yet? I am also in the process of installing in Australia.
    Cheers Blaire

We haven't started yet - DA problems but we will get there - I'm OK with most materials just finding the splashback tile is proving difficult - have you had any luck lolathompson?
Hi, we haven't had the kitchen installed yet as problems with our builder.
We are going for a natural white glass splashback as I wanted a easy clean area.
Sorry if I haven't replied to any emails, life is hard in a half built house!
Will post pics when finished (if we ever do).

Hi Frances and Lola, we are installing next week. For splashbacks I have found subway marble tiles in both honed and antique finish which are very nice. I am also considering having them cut to size at Gladstone Granite in Melbourne. Are you both in Victoria? Cheers Blaire

Stunning! Love the lights. I can see you used the kitchen as inspiration but this has a more modern feel - I love it. You must be really pleased. Fran

    Thank you so much, Sarah!

looks great. which qasair vent is that? is there a brand in usa like that?

Sarah, how did they create the wood cover? Did they use a door panel cover with crown molding?

is that stainless strip showing at bottom part of Quasir vent, or did they add a piece of stainless?

bmredgrove - what is the name of the counter top you used? All very nice kitchens!

Hi mlegan - the island bench is a Calcutta marble and the other benches are a pure white lithostone (the marble centre coburg - melbourne) which is an engineered stone. Caesarstone and quantum will have an equivalent.

Hi bmredgrove- can you tell me the type and size backsplash you used? Your kitchen is beautiful!

what is the name of the backsplash

Hi There sorry for my late response. The splashback is a Carrara tile that I imported specifically for my house as I couldn't find anything at the time that was similar. The splashback size on the hotplate bench is 3250 long. Height is 840mm to rangehood and 540mm to the lowest of the overhead cabinet.

what's the colour of the dark trim and island?
Hi there. The colour is a custom commerical mix but I have used a product from Watson Feast called Brown Japan and Black Japan. I mix them together about 60 % brown and 40% black. When you put it on it look rather dull till you put a clear seal over the top. Hope this helps
