Dining room

What 'cha think? Our home has a black and cream base with shots of color and a lot of fun. But the cream room was blah, so I switched up the room.

    You're kidding, right?

I love the art work, I love the design of the new space, but I must say , I don't like the very dark wall color, the first room was too light but the second one is too dark. I would diminish the intensity of that color to half .

Thanks for the comments. Was I kidding? Is it that bad?
no, it is not bad in fact I love the room and design, just the color is gloomy

It's not my taste for my dining room but I sure would love to be at a dinner party in this room ! You went for it and good for you because it's a really cool space !

I don't think black is gloomy, to me it's just a color. Thanks for the opinions!

might be different if I was in the room ,maybe the pics don't do it justice, enjoy it , it is your room after all.

I adore this black room! I hope your chandelier is on a dimmer, and that you eat all your dinners by candlelight. Très chic!

Couleur un peu sombre, mais il faut maintenant jouer avec la lumière pour dynamiser l'ensemble et travailler des cadres sur fond blanc

Love this!!!! So many people are afraid of using "in your face" bold colors...but not here!

Funny how the same artwork originally just faded into the wall color before. Add that black & you don't miss a thing! Perfect contrasts!

I'm going this bold too, but in a chrysanthemum color. I have always wanted a red dining room!

Now...I'd find some silver/gray curtains...to match the silver on the table.

I wanted to paint my dining room black a few years ago and my husband thought I was crazy. I have two floor to ceiling windows on the front and side of the house, a large china cabinet and two entrances to the room, so it would have worked. I had to settle for black drapes. Glad you were able to take the risk.
