Most garages are too narrow. Typically something like 20' x 22' is standard, but with shelving and yard stuff hanging on either or both wall, I think more width is better. Especially trying to open the doors that would hit the wall or the other car. Just my 2 cents worth. I started parking in the driveway and left the garage for my other half. Works fine until it starts snowing this winter. :)

The plan for ours is 23'8" x 21'8". Not sure about that width.

Obviously the larger the better for garages. 23'x23' would be comfortable depending on the type of vehicles you have.

A 24 by 30 foot will allow for always needed storage.

We are really inhibited by lot coverage rules and every other rule imaginable. Very frustrating. So the 23'8" and 21' 8" are firm. Cars: Audi A8L and BMW 330ci. Hoping that will work!
