i think u should move the tv to somewhere else if possible,putting some show pieces,vase on top would make it much attractive.wall against the fire place could be painted deep chocolate to give depth and make it distinct from the fire place color.

Put some natural stone on the Hearth, and get a decorative fireplace screen.

Add tall pots in color add color to rest of room with accessories. Too much dark brown. Lighten it up.

Add a pattern area rug 5x7 is good. Move ottoman within 18" of sofa. Never pl in middle of a room.

Like TV over media. So much better. Pic hung too high now.

My inclination would be to remove everything from the mantle and try a colorful, long, low bowl under it. A colorful area rug would definitely tie your room together with some accessories in a couple of colors from the rug.

Placing the TV on the media stand is a good idea and leaves your fireplace area open for art.

I think your fireplace would look better with nothing on the mantle. The TV is enough. However, I think a light colored rug would help your room a lot.
