We are going to have a light maple floor, and also going to refinish the stairs. Metal balusters, dark railing , but what color stair tread should I use? I heard if the stair tread is very dark , unable to see where is the end if you coming down.
Dark brown or lighter? Should I match the color with the railing or the floor? Is there any rules for this?
