Glass Tile Install - Issue?

last modified: 12 years ago
Looking for some advice. I had a contractor install my glass tile backsplash in my kitchen. He told me that glass tile was tough to install and that he had problems cutting the tile at first and finding the right blade. From afar the tile backsplash looks good! However, standing at the counter it is noticeable that there are pieces of tile that are uneven, some not flush...tile that has chips and/or jagged edges and grout lines that are inconsistent (some thin or thick in width, some flush with tile, other places not enough). I haven't said anything to the contractor as I am a perfectionist and hear elsewhere that glass tile is hard to install so maybe my expectations are too high?... but this is an important job to me ...so I am looking for some feedback on if these are legitimate issues and if so, is there anything that I can do to repair/replace the tile. or is the install good enough? thoughts? thanks. (some of the tile in the pics below have a little shadow around tile because of the light in the room)
