I assume you are referring to the corbels under the bar. They allow freer movement for those using the bar stools.

Thank you. I am trying to decide between legs and corbels for our remodel and I like the style of having legs, but I think it will restrict movement and take up too much visual space in a small kitchen. Love this kitchen and yours too. Both are beautiful. Great job.

@abholcomb - I always avoid legs if possible. Sometimes, you just can't though.
