Redoing an office space with a southern exposure. Will a hunter Douglas silhouette style shade provide enough light filtering?

It's certainly possible that they would. Silhouettes filter about 88% of the UV. The nice about Silhouette is they can be tilted and even closed completely if the sun is too intense at times.

Is this a home office? If not you may want to consider a screen shade from the Hunter Douglas Designer Screen Shade line.
