This is the guest bedroom in the barn on my in-laws' property. There are 2 rather large sliding windows. My father-in-law installed pink accordion pleated blinds years ago and they are overdue for replacing. I'd like to put vertical blinds in so that a guest can open the window, yet maintain privacy, but I'm told verticals are "out". What else would you suggest? The blinds are a bit awkward to reach because of the chairs in front. Thank you for your help!
