What about blueish? If not, a red accent wall might liven things up with drama

Any color that doesn't lean pink should work. A pinky beige or taupe will be horrible. The gray appears to be a nice contrast but it will certainly darken the room, given that your floors are also dark. You'd need to offset that with some lighter textiles - rugs, pillows, perhaps a glass or mirrored table. And also I'd work in an accent color through those same materials and/or some vibrant art. It feels a little too neutral at present.

I think a warmer grey with less blue would look better. BM Revere Pewter or Apparition would work nicely. (This is officially the 1st time I've ever recommended Revere Pewter but your rooms would be perfect for this very popular color)
