i love the look of dark wood floors (especially with a white-cabinet kitchen) but am worried about a) the floors showing every scratch and speck of dust and b) are there issues with having wood floors in a kitchen (spills, stains, etc)? are there certain floor materials or finishes that help with the above issues?
