The property is actually in Bangor, County Down. Northern Ireland. UK. Completed 2007

The glazing spec. is not too out of the ordinary, Low Emmissivity 10mm outer pane, 8mm void & 8mm Inner. Its a little less than we would have liked, but due to the size of the framing profile its all we could achieve. Argon fill was available at the time but the cost was prohibitive. However the Statutory Requirements here are reasonably flexible and allowed us to use a 'trade off' approach by increasing the insulation in the roof and floor beyond the norm. to compensate for any heat loss.

With the addition of under floor heating it's really quite snug :)
If this was designed today, It would likely require triple glazing.
