We have an upstairs loft with a half wall and our cat keeps jumping up on it. I'm, terrified that one day she's going to fall. I'd like to find something to mount on the top of the ledge that will deter her and take away the four or so inches that she ahs to perch on. I'm wanting something kind of like a railing or stairrail- I got the idea when we went to an ironworks showroom recently to find a security door, but they were going to charge something like $150 a foot to make something. I originally thought of putting several sequential open type room dividers along the edge of the wall, but that will block part of the walk way.

I'm attaching two images, one that is an outdoor fence, but gives sort of an idea of what I want. The other is an actual room divider- again this is sort of the concept, I'd like to have long panels like this, so have it rotated 90 degrees, that I could mount somehow on the ledge. Anyone have any ideas? I want something in a light color, and sa open as possible, so as to not block light, but with a tight enough knit pattern to block cat heads!
