Be curious to see how men respond to this. Women almost universally seem to hate it. But it is a big trend in hotels right now.

Staying in a hotel is not the same as living in your home :) It might be fun to experience something different by having an open bath to the master for one night or even a week with daily maid service. But after that, I would want my privacy back.

No way....no matter who you are, everyone wants some privacy. May as well put the toilet in the corner of the bedroom.

If I lived alone maybe but the toilet area def needs to be covered. But living with hubby and children no way. Not due to hubby but children. Yes I'm a woman.

I would not mind it but my husband likes his privacy when sitting on the hopper. If only the shower was visable he would not mind.

Lovely spaces, just not for me. I like more privacy, and yes, I am a woman. I'm not sure how my comment attached to these four pics specifically. I'm talking about the open master bath concept the ideabook discusses.

Some additional info, the client is a single male in his 40ies and when the lights are off in the bathroom you can only see a black glass wall, and the hooper is back of the wooden separator and you don't see it.

Judiwithani love your sense of humor. Regarding this bath, personally it looks cold and uninviting to me on top of the serious lack of privacy.

I had a vanity that was part of the master bedroom in the 1980's. It did not work when spouses are not on the same work or sleep schedule. The lights or running water woke up the sleeping spouse. As soon as we could afford it we went with a traditional master bath.

I wouldn't want to see him wipe his hairy butt...

Funny timing to see this….. we have had an open bath space for 15 years because that is how it was when we bought the place. I never liked it…. but we put up with it because it was not our primary home. After so many years…we are finally fixing it and building it into a separate space from the bedroom. I can hardly wait.
