. I am keen to salvage great materials and scored about 100 sf of gorgeous mid century embossed cast brass or bronze panels. The pattern is rough linear grooves with dark patina in the troughs and brighter highlights at the peaks. The panels are about 1/8" thick, so the effect is rich, dark and glamorous. I have two possible uses for the material. I'm planning a renovation of mt tiny 60's kitchen. New cabinets, flooring, appliances- the works. I would like to use the metal panels for a backsplash, but am unsure about using a dark backsplash in such a small kitchen. The other project could be a shower wall in a new master bath underway. Any advice on wet applications for bronze or brass? I have enough material to do both applications... Thoughts?
