Need help!! Picture window treatment

My contractor recently installed a beautiful picture window with attractive mouldings in my living room. Any suggestions on a window treatment??There is sun most of the day. We r in the process of decorating our living room as well (haven't started that one yet). I'm open to suggestions. I would say I'm traditional. Thanks for reading

An opaque white or cream blind to diffuse the sun, plus lined drapes to close for insulation. Take colours from rug or artworks you plan to keep.

Any chance you can post a photo of the new window? My initial thought is to not cover the architecture of the window. Perhaps a combination of a roman/cellular shade for light control and stationary panels to add some softness and texture?

I am thinking something simple so as to not detract from the millwork. Perhaps a cellular shade? I don't know if you can do stationary panels because of the register below the window. Are there any other windows close by because you want to be somewhat consistent with treatments if there are. If so please post photos.
