Complete outside renovation of my 1906 home in Corning NY

The house was stripped of two layers of siding and resided. All the windows, doors, porches and roof were replaced as well. The before photo does have the new front porches in it.

excellent job and the blue siding really pops with the white trim.

Thanks! I really think the wide white trim made all the difference as well!

The paint choices are great, but...was there a reason for "All the windows, doors, porches and roof were replaced as well".

Why buy an old house? That was all the unique features....ripped out.

We have a 1920s colonial in St. Petersburg, Fl and it's in dire need of new siding. I was thinking strip, repair and paint... But this has opened my eyes to the possibility of all new siding and preserving the classic look.

Everything was in really rough shape and most of it not original that's why it was replaced.

I was not a fan of vinyl siding either but being up north I did not want to paint it every 5-6 years. I am very happy with the results.

Fair enough. For obvious reasons, I hate seeing the cool, old stuff being ripped out of or off of an old place!

Todd the house looks just perfect. I really love your choice of color. More people should "step out of the box" like you did here. And thanks for posting the sign...from a fellow motorcyclist. :)
