Marie, This is what we call a 6 foot reach-in. The closet doors have been removed for easy access. If you have bi-fold doors you can leave them on but if you have sliders you have to reposition the drawer unit to one side or the other. The depth of the closet is about 24-28" and the height at the opening is about 74". We usually put baskets for things like scarves, belts, etc on the upper shelves above the opening so they are accessible, look nice and take advantage of every bit of space!
