I'm guessing your best bet is to try to salvage as much tile as you can from the landing to patch the kitchen & then select a different flooring (perhaps wood or pergo would be more forgiving) for the landing

I have heard of a cement covering that goes on wet and can be colored for a floor. It is used a lot in garages, but I would like to try it in my kitchen. I have a beautiful Kraftmaid kitchen with hundreds of cupboards and a center island with a sink stove top and dishwasher.I really need to have a custom look for my floor. I have hard oak flooring in the rest of the house and really do not want wood for the kitchen, it would be too much wood. I am open to suggestions, but I need to do it the cheapest way possible because I am retired and my husband has been out of work for the past year and is disabled at this time.

Your tile may be cracking due to improper installation, and may have nothing to do with your foundation being faulty. Do you know if the tile was installed directly over your plywood subfloor or on a material like Hardibacker or Ditra?
You may be able to float a vinyl floor over your existing tile, it will depend on the condition of the tile and what is causing the tiles to crack.
I would suggest having a general contractor come out and assess what is going on as there are multiple scenarios that can cause a tile floor to crack. Once you understand why the floor is failing you can come up with a good game plan.

Poly-urethane paint can take a little more movement than epoxy, but a pvc floor might be nice. What type of floor is it (base), wood or slab?

I'm with Valley Floors.........you need a GC or flooring contractor to see what is going on with your floor. If the tile is cracking, something under them is moving and a new concrete/cement base will also crack.
