If not a big piece, maybe a gallery wall there.
And if not that, one large mirror with either 2 sconces on each side of it, or 2 smaller pieces of artwork on either side.

What would you think about a pretty standing screen in the corner by the window, with a tall plant in front of it?

mercury glass lamps on side tables? these pics are from bedrooms, but would be very pretty in your living area I think.

the only reason i went straight to glass is that your room looks very elegant, almost glam right now, and for some crazy reason I think glass! :)

Joss and main has a fabulous coffee table in its frank Sinatra collection that would look great. Look for the Nassau coffee table.

I would add a storage coffee table (pottery barn has nice ones) see pic attached. I would attach a splash of colour, yellow will look good with your palette. A large birch painting above couch, and a yellow throw and pillow:)

I love how pretty that chair looks by the window and just have to wonder what it would look like with the chairs flanking the window and the couch facing the window??? Not sure where the doorway leads that is opposite that window? Or what the chairs now have their backs to?? MAYBE a table between the chairs, unless you are afraid it would block a view? Could still have drape panels and nice art on the larger wall. Just not sure about the couch and the chair rail working together, but maybe it is just me and my first glance.

I think you need to figure out the furniture arrangement before you buy or do anything.
Your couch and chairs are too far apart for comfortable conversation. If you posted more pictures of the room we might be able to give you better advice. What are the dimensions of your room? We see a doorway and a window. What is on the other walls? Is that window on the left the only window? Your window appears to be 60 inches with an 11 or 12" transom above, If you have two or more windows on that wall you might consider placing the sofa in front of the window (but not up against it. Then you could turn the chairs to face the window and flank the doorways with small chests or additional, smaller chairs.

The best book I have ever run across for practical decorating is called "Decorating with what you have". It is great and anyone trying to pull together a room would be smart to get copy.
You might think about drapes in the same color way as your chairs. And contrasting pillows, maybe an orange you like would be stunning.

I love the furniture and rug. I agree with "scharonhowe" about adding some orange pillows (or perhaps yellow) to really make the room stand out.

You have a good start, but the room reads very "cold" right now because of all the cool colors you have. I think if you chose artwork that included some warm tones, and then accessorized with those tones, your room would appear more welcoming.

Big wall wording art with family moment photos, sconces, pieces of your fav art work, same color blue in long curtains as in furniture, I favor iron decor and glass top stands. Love the colors in this room.

Abbyjean, the room is just not big enough unfortunately. Either that wall or in front of window are only options. I have had this room closed off for some time and happy to have it somewhat open. If I have people over, it makes for a small area to walk through to dining room.

Well, alrighty then. It is a pretty room and how nice to have it open now. Love the colors and your furniture style. I would like to think at least one chair would have a side table for a drink/glass and maybe a lamp? Floor lamp if not a table lamp. I love the first piece of art that Nancy posted. It has your blue and another accent color, which is nice. That accent color can also be the wood you choose for your coffee table.

I think a darker wood round table would look nice. It'll stand out against the gray you have. Nancy - the room looks good with the added color on the pillows and curtains.

I agree with Christina about a darker round wooden table, especially since you already have a round one by the couch. It will not take up a lot of room for passing through, either.

Maybe a brown frame around the art to tie it back to your new brown table?

I'd pull the sofa onto the rug facing the window. Cozy the two chairs with it, facing each other over a coffee table. Then add tall casegoods opposite the French doors - bookcase, lighted display, etc. Curtains a must. Art left and right of the pocket door opening, four stacked pieces left and right of the window or the French door.

You have a very nice room and furniture to work off. Paint color, rug, sofas and chairs and pillows all look great. I like Christieb's recommendations. Here's another option for the main coffee table recommended by Carolyn Albert-Kincl on another thread.

To balance off the gold/ brass metallic elements in the room, you may wish to add a wooden item between the 2 blue chairs.

I prefer the idea of a symmetrical classic wall gallery of prints/ frames of your choice in soft muted colors, over one large canvas in this room. Classic vintage botany prints is one option.

Beautiful color choices - very soothing. I'd lower the art as the bottom frames are higher than the bottoms of the lampshades, which is jarring. Anchor them 5" above the sofa back. While the tables are a bit too high for your sofa arms, they are a nice choice style and color wise. If you're ever inclined to use them elsewhere, you might use this chart to help select replacements. I think a subtle grasscloth below the chair rail might add some additional texture, other than the rug. Fiber shades (roman or other) under the drapes could do the same.
