My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

      What's the wood on the deck? Were you able to install the deck on the concrete slab or did you have to raise it?

      Hi Pratik - It is Ipe wood, installed on a framing on top of concrete slab. It is raised a little bit to be flushed with the entry door.

      Hi pamela i was thinking about doing the same for our home in southern cal. what type of framing did you use under the ipe decking and how would you clean under there? thanks!

      Hi Bernard - They're pressure treated wood at the base
      that are cut, shaped flat for the ipe wood planks to lie over, and drilled into the concrete. You can't really clean under there. It's mostly just leaves that will break apart over time...
