Which moose?

Wow! I can't go into any home store or decorator boutique without seeing a moose head. It appears that I must have one to keep up with the Jones'. Help me pick the perfect one so that all my friends will know what a slave to home fashion trends I am!

Depends on the style of your home but in general I believe the gold sparkle moose makes the biggest statement. Best used in a slightly quirky, eclectic or modern home!

Any moose except a real (dead) one. Their numbers are rapidly dwindling, at least in Minnesota.

How about a piece of art instead?

Wait...did Margo say "hanging head"???? Isn't that what this thread is all about!?

Now I've got a song stuck in my head... "fish heads, fish heads, roly poly fish heads..." Will that be the new trend in 2014?
Found it...just don't like how those eyes follow me around the room.
Veeba...the painting certainly deserves an honorable mention, to say the least.

What about a painting of a leg lamp??

Wait, you mean my Big Mouth Billy Bass is coming back in style? Will I need to chalk paint and distress him, cover him in ikat, or leave him alone to keep all of the "let the real fish show" people happy?

I might have to stick with the 2D Zebra Butt for my wall. So expressive. :)
Ding ding ding, the trend has begun !!!!! ;D
  • 12 years ago
I got the expressive message mforr... loud and clear;)
My last name IS Jones and I don't have a moose head, however if you MUST keep up with me, I'd go w/the chevron zebra.
Just when you decide you are NOT required to keep up with the Jones', they pop back up, threatening you with a chevron zebra!
    I'm Jonesing for Zebra Chevron!
Just in case anyone is else is wondering, the Zebra Butt is not a metaphor for anything. It is simply a Zebra Butt. And only a Zebra Butt.
Okay, did someone spike my morning coffee???
Just in case you need to keep up with the Jones's Zebra Butt, here is the link, you can be ahead of the trend for next year, lol

Al Fortunato ! ych!! we had a real one and her baby living at our cottage 4 years ago, spent the whole winter and left LOTS of moose poops ! but like the other Canuck on here, we're in Canada and on a lake ... I say, leave the heads on the real mooses and get some super cool art that just looks like a moose head. Son brought us a stuffed animal head (Moosehead beer) it adorned over our old fireplace, but alas, we tore that house down and now we have an ugly tv over our new gas fireplace......progress - NOT

Choose whatever makes you happy when you look at it!!
How about putting the "Glowing Moose" on a motion sensor - sort of a whimsical "night light" for guests looking for the bathroom door? :)
