There is nothing quite a beautiful as natural stone. I have used marble in showers, but it needs to be installed properly and also needs to be regularly sealed and maintained. Porcelanosa has a number of tiles which would be easier to maintain and create a textured effect. I would suggest visiting one of their showrooms. - Mark.

It depends upon what you mean by problematic. This stone has a rough texture. Therefore it would be difficult to keep clean if used in an area which is regularly left wet such as in an everyday use shower or exposed to grease such as a kitchen backsplash behind a range or cooktop. I would use it in an area where you are looking for natural beauty but it will not be exposed regularly to water, grease or other substances which would be difficult to get out of a semi-porous and roughly textured surface.
