The powder room suggestion is a good one. The pieces are very baroque. Formal entry hall is my suggestion - have black and white marble tile. A red themed oriental rug.

I would say the style is Baroque ... you could use it in an entry for an elegant look.

I like dy’s suggestion of using the set in a powder room. Maybe it is possible to have the sconces electrified.

i always wanted it in powder room but it is very small , only mirror can b fit.

The set is beautiful and of course sentimental. Like the idea posted regarding powder room use and wire the sconces for electricity. Also would be even more elegant in a black room. Let us see an after picture, once you've made a decision.

powder room is out of question as it is very small . and i already have a mirror and black and gol dresser in entry , i would post pictures .

I think the set is beautiful. It can be used in any formal room: bedroom, dining room, bath or living room. Use gold touches in the room to pull it all together.

My mother has one very similar - without the sconces. It's been in her little entry hall forever. What is it made of? I think my mothers is some sort of plastic. Twenty years ago I spray painted it black for her. If you'd like to use it in a fun, modern way, maybe you can spray paint it a fun accent color? Unless it's valuable. It would be adorable painted a soft (or hot!) pink. :) I say pink because I see soft pink jewels on your candle holder?? Here is a modern entry table with painted baroque mirror. this is very heavy wood set , not plastic , no those jewels are golden and i was thinking to remove them or put a crystal drop on it , and i absolutely love white painted with blue . i have a hot pink room recently decorated with the help of houzzers so now thinking about any soft color (powder blue , purple, beige etc) .

you could paint the set in a vibrant bleu and hang it where the mirror is in this picture,i like the colors you have chosen

The mirror and candles would be wonderful in a formal foyer with a large skirted table or glass topped table under it. The problem with the set is that the shelf piece is too small and together it is top heavy. Use the shelf separate in a small area with a much smaller mirror or picture above it.

If it is make of heavy wood painting it would ruin the value in my opinion.
