Mixing metals for a master bath redo?

We custom built our home 20 years ago when shiny brass fixtures were popular. I have replaced all those dated brass light fixtures, but I am having a dilemma about the master bath fixtures. What do we do with the shiny brass doorknobs? Is it ok if to mix the metals? There are three doors in the bath and if we start replacing the doorknobs...well, one door leads into another and there would be no stopping! Help, please!

I think it's better if they match. If your knobs still work, try painting them. A lot of blogs give how to instructions. Here is one. http://stylewithcents.blogspot.com/2013/03/spray-painted-hardwarewhat-works-what.html

Thanks, Amy. I never thought about painting them. I think I'm going with a brushed nickel finish.

Do some research before you pick a spray paint. It may take a few google searches but you should be able to find someone that has compared the various silver spray paints. You might look at Design Master sold at Michaels. They have a great gold, but I haven't tried their silver.

Replacing door knobs is easy and affordable. Don't let that hold back your thinking to replace fixture finishes.
