Ideas for updating Kitchen

We recently purchased this house and are looking for ideas on what we can do with the Kitchen.

Kitchen: Ideally would love to change out and/or paint the kitchen cabinets, island, and trim...possibly some shade of white. Our only question/concern is our entire house has this trim which leaves the question "where/when do you stop?" Also if we were transform eveything to white what to do with the flooring?

Appreciate any/all ideas and suggestions. kitchen cabinets, kitchen island, furniture, flooring, paint color, etc...
