We are redoing the dining area off our kitchen. We live in a pre-war coop, but want this room to be fairly modern and fresh. Room is 115" x 114" ... As you can see from pics, we have work underway. Tall bookshelves were removed and large walk-in closet is being shrunk to make the room bigger.
French doors to be installed to cover up the closet (formerly cheapo bifold). Chandelier must go. Picture of galley kitchen shown so you can see how it leads off the dining area. There is a small bar/prep area to the right of the Air France poster, which is part of kitchen and leads into kitchen (and has window). As you can see kitchen is cherry with green marble. Cork floors.

So we need ideas for a nice funky dining room. Saarinen tulip table? We would love oval, but authentic ones and all replica oval ones I see are too big. What else? How about chairs? Cool new chandelier? Thank you so much!
