They were done beforehand. It wasn't until after that we added the flat board and the wallcovering to make the ceiling stand out. No problem, thanks for your interest! :)

Hello: could you tell me a little bit more about the wallcoverings and why you chose what you chose and why you picked this colour, which I love, btw! Do you feel that this light Robin's Egg blue shade would work in a large master bedroom with short vertical walls and a sizeable vault ceiling? We have mostly northern light exposure and an 1880's Victorian home.

Would you do the ceilings blue as well? Or just the walls? Or vive versa?

Grasscloth wallcoverings are always great for a bit of subtle luxury and the colors were chosen to go with the overall coastal chic vibe of the home. If you're worried about shorter walls, I'd say you could flip the color scheme, but even if you used the same colors in the same way I think it would work well with the white trim to break up the transition from blue to beige.
