Cement Tiles and kitchen backsplash

I have a white kitchen that I am still working on. I got the knobs (attached) and the countertop quartz (attached), right now I am trying to find a nice backsplash, I love the cement tiles (attached) and I think they match the knobs very well but they are too expensive to cover the whole backsplash area, so I thought of using the cute cement tiles either on the area above the stove and behind the hood (you will see it in the kitchen picture) and the rest will be another grayish white material like stone (attached), or to scatter the cement tiles throughout the backsplash in a nice way (dunno how?), PLEASE HELP me with ideas and let me know if this will be nice or not?

That stone in the second picture--are those individual tiles with lippage? That is, do some of the edges stick up higher? Because if that's the case, it will be a nightmare as a backsplash.

As for your concrete tiles, if you plan your design out carefully ahead of time, I think a plain gray field tile with random designs could look quite nice. You could do the same thing with a talavera tile that matched your knobs.

I love your choices so far! Your kitchen will be beautiful. Have you considered putting the cement tiles in a band surrounded by a different, but coordinating, field color pulled from the cement tile you choose? Something like this inspiration photo

I love the ideas and the inspirational pictures, it would look really nice, but I am worried about the field tiles that will surround the whole kitchen, I don't want them plain white ceramic and the one I chose can be a little bit tricky like you said! Any recommendation for the material and color that can be used?

I agree that the gray tiles could be a nightmare to keep clean. Before you decide to go with them, google the tile name with terms like 'reviews,' 'difficulty in keeping clean,' and the like to see if there are any reviews you could read to see how other people like them. The great thing about reviews is that people write reviews when they either hate or love a product, and will tell you everything that's wrong with it, or how wonderful it is.

I like the cement tile, and think they would look good as a border or interspersed randomly with the other tile.

I just went to an online cement tile shop. It looks like the patterned tiles are somewhere around $15-$20/sq. ft. and plain are a bit more than $10/sq. ft. I am assuming that using the matching cement field tiles is cost prohibitive? Because I think the patterned tiles would look best with matching field tiles.

You could do this with Talavera tiles also and it might be a little cheaper, though I don't know it would give you the look you want.

If I am going to to do the cement tile behind the range and the hood, and the field tile everywhere around, how does the relation between them look like? I don't want to put it in a frame, but I am afraid that it will look odd.

I did a patterned tile in the center 95% of the floor and then white around the edges and up for the baseboard. Problem is that the encaustic cement tiles are thicker than ceramic tile so they probably can't be interspersed in same area unless used as a center medallion with edging. FYI - they stain very easily even though they were treated.
