I think you have to decide if you want to be true to the mid-century roots of the house. If so then maybe you can research what colors those homes usually rock. Or you can just go with a bright white throughout the house and accent walls in each room to keep the space open. The orange is actually (to me) not so bad but the built-ins and coordinating trim takes the orange over the top. A blue on just that window wall would frame those trees and the scenery nicely. In the end just go with the colors you love but coordinate them with flooring, fabric, etc.
