Yay!!! finally purple!!!
How many photos am I allowed? I have something purple in every room in my house! I even chose purple for my walk-in drawers!

How come no one else posted anything? I can't believe people don't have purple stuff in their houses. I thought it's quite a popular colour. hmmmm
I have more! Yesterday was my birthday and my sister and husband decided to redesign the kitchen in my honour! (and no, I didn't turn 9... I'm allowed to have balloons at any age, right?). One of my presents was a pair of small sweet purple lamps - I love them!

PS: Elly is my nickname - somehow these Brits find it hard to pronounce my real name correctly...

Nancy Kay, your front doors Rock! When my husband was away on a business trip I painted our garage doors bright purple! He was surprised to say the least, but since he hated painting, they stayed purple for 4 years until we replaced them!

I didn't think I had any purple and then I remembered these old purple bottles I recently added to my window. I have a collection of cobalt blue bottles that I put in my living room windows once it's time to close them for winter. I stumbled across some purple bottles in an antique store and loved them.

Turns out purple bottles are really fakes of a sort. They're "irradiated" old clear bottles. Some thing in the old glass will turn purple in the sun or deep purple instantly when irradiated. Bottle dealers can then sell them for a lot more (since "housewives" love them - ha! - according to discussions I read online). I do love the look and ended up buying a bunch in graduated sizes for my mother's kitchen window. Just wish I hadn't sold all those old clear bottles at my garage sale!
