What look are you trying to achieve? Do you have other pics of room and adjoining rooms to show furniture, window covering etc. That would help a lot.

I love that shade of blue! You did a very nice job.

With the wood floor, black appliances and black knobs/door pulls, if this were my home I'd probably go with white, as you have the walls & ceiling, or a lighter blue, between the cabinet colors and white........a very faint blue. Not sure you can use the Annie Sloan paints on walls (I have used Ce Ce Caldwell & American Paint chalk/clay paints, not really for walls). Looking at where the backsplash stops near the windows, I think anything not white or lighter blue is going to be too stark.

You could also look for a nice wallpaper with a similar tone of blue, maybe a damask or toile, for the area on the walls and around the windows, and keep the ceiling white. It's a small area based on the pictures you posted, but not sure what areas surround it. I think MarleneM's comments are accurate, without knowing what the surrounding rooms (dining? living? den?) look like, trying to tie it together is tough.

love your color choice for the cabs! I would keep the walls white and paint the ceiling the same blue color ... a white chandy would great against the blue ceiling.

Great job, BTW! I love Annie Sloan chalk paint and this is my fav of the colours. You could go many ways with this as a base. Do you want a bright or muted look?

Will you be putting decorative items along the tops of the cabinets? If so, you probably should consider that into the equation. If you have a number of bold/colorful items to display up there, then I'd lean toward something light, a very light grey maybe. But if you will not be adding any color that way, then I'd vote for a darker grey or darker blue, like in JudyG's picture. Can't quite tell from the photo, is your sink blue? Or is it stainless just reflecting darker?

Wow! Thank you for all the comments. There aren't any window treatments yet, and the dinning room is also just primer right now. I like the charcoal idea and I definitely think we need to go to black counter tops with a white apron sink. The hallway leading into the kitchen is Pavillion beige. Thanks again everyone!
