I have bought my most recent sets from CostCo. I have heard, however, that one should buy expensive towels because they feel more luxurious. That is what Oprah said one time on something but how many of us can really spend a lot of $$ on towels? Plus I heard that you should replace them roughly every three years.

Recently cotton prices have shot up. This has meant that the low cost stores are really cutting down on their quality but the prices remain the same. In terms of the most hard working towels, I have found restoration hardware have good quality towels but they are not inexpensive. For the big bath sheets, I hang dry to start and then fluff in the dryer when less heavy

The January sales can be stressful, but don't throw in the towel.
