Not sure what to do with our ceiling in our basement

We are in the process of finishing our basement. We are turning it into a classy man cave with a custom bar with a stone front. We have fairly dark laminate and dark cabinets for the bar. We are going with a lighter tan color paint for the walls. I am stuck what to do with the ceiling. Do we want it textured? Painted? I am not even sure what our options are at this point.

Given the noise-level from my hubby's basement man-cave/theatre room, I wish our basement ceiling was acoustic tile. There have been some great improvements over the years in the look of them too, and it would have been so much easier for the plumbers and electricians when we did our addition and remodel on the main level. I love the look that jn3344 posted though; it reminds me of a roadhouse.

Depending on the height (I like 8' min) of the room and any mechanicals that run below.....A sheetrock ceiling with some moldings and paint according to other decorations always looks good.

Picture might help here. What's the ceiling height down there? What is there currently?

Just off the top of my head I would advise against texturing. People are always trying to find ways to get the texture off around here!

If you haven't done anything yet, and your ceiling is rather low, I like this look.

there's all kinds of photos of beamed ceilings but many of them are pretty elaborate.

What about a drop/grid ceiling for easy access to plumbing, electrical, etc, but instead of acoustical tile use the tin ceiling tiles design. A copper ceiling with dark wood and trim would be great for a man cave.
