How about a blue rug by the sink?

You can't tell by the picture but the rugs in front of the sink, stove, and frig are blue.

Maybe a quite large rug between the sink & stove. Patterned with blues and choose another color such as greens. Also change out some of your counter items, such as blue patterned maybe with green also for the canister set you have. Maybe, to the right of your sink, a long narrow tray with 2 or 3 objects with your accent colors on them. And a fabric roman shade over the sink with color & pattern.

Great ideas. I did want to keep the antique canister set. Maybe I could just change out the knobs on top to blue glass. What do you think about adding a third owl in blue?

Update. I did add and additional owl in blue. The kids refused to get rid of Wisenheimer and Titan (the other owls) but they did agree to add blue glass beads around the eyes. By the way, the new owl's name is Smartypants. I also added umbrae owls above the stove and an primitive abstract owl painting on the wall. I tried the tassels on the canisters but I got a feeling that they would be filthy within the week, so they went back to the store. I have not given up on the tassels, I am looking for beaded tassels, something that can be rinsed in the sink. Hope you like it. If anyone knows where to find some let me know.
