Are Hunter Douglas blinds worth it?

I am considering getting Hunter Douglas Applause top up/bottom down blinds for my new house. They seem very expensive to me, and I'm wondering if anyone has a strong opinion on whether or not they are worth the cost. I do not like having wooden blinds, so the Hunter Douglas option seems like a good one, but the sticker shock is a little much! I should add that the blind company is the preferred company through my builder - I suspect there may be a markup involved...
