Here's the other side of room. One
big room

Take a look at the new style shade called Vision Shades. The Milan fabric would look really nice here as well. You can see this at http://www.solar-screen-shades.com

Thanks Barbara, just finished the room and curtains may be in the
future. I would start with the blinds
and live with that for a while! Thanks
for the lining idea-would that make
the rooms hot in the summer?

Hi. I love the colors in your room. A real transitional and fun roman wood shade would be wonderful. https://www.theshadestore.com/window-treatments/product/cascade-woven-wood-shade in the color Seaview or Jackson in gray

PRODUCT: Cascade Woven Wood Shade
MATERIAL: Modoc
COLOR: Bronze
CUSTOMIZATIONS: USE MASAN CHOCOLATE ($0.00)

Lining will not make it hotter. It is simple sheeting and heavy. I had these in my dining room in my previous home. Horizon makes quality products at a reasonable price. For drapes..just look at ready mades..not expensive but gives an instant completed look and softness to a room.

Lining the drapes will keep out cold AND hot.

Sorry for above..I meant the lining is simple sheeting and NOT heavy.

What an amazing living room...nicely done...in your case I would add light long drapes..nothing fussy...they would compliment your living room perfectly!

What do you guys think about a glass coffee table between the couch and chairs? I have one of my parents. The coffee table that goes with the side tables and white table is way too big for the space and think we have enough different colors of wood going on. The coffee table base has a brass finish now, but plan on spray painting it brushed nickel, which Is the new metal I have in both rooms( dining room and living room).

I think a coffee table between the sofa and chairs would be fine. Pull the chairs in toward the sofa for a balance look Nd feel.
