To drape or not to drape

There are quite a few pics in my solarium ideabook that show ceiling to floor drapes. I love, love, love the look. I want to do it in my solarium (pics below in comment), but I am concerned about there being too much fabric because the windows are so close together. I don't want it to look like a curtain in a theater. What do you think? Drapes or no? Any other and all recommendations welcome! :)

Could you post a photo that is shows the full height and width of the group of windows? Also, do you need privacy or light control? Or do you simply want to add color and softness?

Thanks for helping...privacy mostly and some light control. Although my husband doesn't like the white/taupe drape liner. The room doesn't get direct sunlight, so I am thinking of having the seamstress do back to back fabric.
