It's a family room, open to the kitchen. Tv will be over fireplace (I know), buckwheat velvet sofa and love seat are coming soon. I have a brown leather recliner and coffee table sized ottoman that may or may not be used. Kitchen is the same color, SW accessible beige.

Yes, do drapes on the windows. You may want to get custom drapes panels with decorative rods. keep it simple

Nice room! I think you want something there. Do you need privacy at all? Or is there going to be an issue with the sun? Otherwise you can just do the panels. I kind of like the photo below with the color blocking.

Otherwise some people have done molding to cut the wall in half horizontally then left the uppers and curtain or shade the lowers.

Jn-3344 - thank you. The rooms you posted are lovely and inspiring. I don't think light will be an issue, and no privacy concerns out back. There is a neighbor to the left out the arched windows.

I would do drapes. Without them, it would look unfinished (I'm talking from personal experience:) I still have to find time and look for someone who will do drapes for me)
