I'm sure a lot of people would find the two together too busy, but I like them. While they don't match or anything, I think they go together nicely. If you're happy with them, that's all that matters, and it sounds like you are.

One word...CLASH. The rug is lovely. Maybe a pinstripe or a solid panel would be best.

They look fine together as far as color and print. The pattern in the rug is larger than in the curtains so you're fine. The only issue is the curtain length. I'm assuming you're painting the walls, not leaving the yellow. But you could bring in a soft yellow throw pillow for some color.

Have to see more of the room and with the room brighter. Hard to tell with everything in shadow. Patterns look fine together because the scale of each is so different. Can't tell what's going on with the colour. Length of curtains is a big problem. If there is no more length by letting down hems, consider adding a band of fabric across the top or the bottom, in a solid colour.

Thanks, all. I will lower curtains to floor. Maybe once I get gray color on the walls it will come together better or be too much gray. Maybe I should try a faint yellow rug?

They do not clash. When mixing pattern, varying the scale and color are most important. You've done this successfully. But, as others have said not close enough to the floor.
