I have old white lime green and gold formica countertops in the kitchen. I saw where I could put ceramic tile directly over the formica. Is that so? My other option is to paint the formica. I know there are kits, but I've seen some DIY'ers (artists basically) who have painted them using their own choice of colors to make them look so much like granite. Do you know about either "ceramic over formica", or "painting formica"?
